FAQ: How Can I identify my Washinton token and determine its value?

There are over a thousand different types of Washington tokens, with most types found in several different varieties (usually they were produced in different medals as gold, silver, brass, copper, bronze, white metal, etc.). Washington medals continue to be produced and the number of varieties increases. Additionally, replicas or facsimiles of early and valuable tokens are produced for the collector and tourist markets. For the most complete listing of these tokens, including originals and facsimiles, with current prices and illustrations of many varieties see:

Russell Rulau and George Fuld, Medallic Portraits of Washington, 2nd ed., Iola, WI: Krause Publications, 1999.
