If you wish to preserve your coins and paper currency, place them in inert plastic holders and keep then out of direct sunlight, excessive heat or high moisture areas. Most coin stores will have some coin holders available. The brand recommended to me by a curator of the the American Numismatic Society is called SAFGARD (without the e). They sell Inert Polyethylene Terepthalate Currency Sleeves as well as coin holders and are available from
E and T Kointainer
Box 103
Sidney, OH 45365
They come in regular and large size coin holders and three sizes for currency: fractional, medium and large. A package of sleeves is about $5.00.
