FAQ: Authentication and Grading Services

Authentication

The American Numismatic Association closed their authentication service in August of 2002. Currently their website states one should contact the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation. This company will authenticate US coins and tokens, but I believe they do not handle colonial coins.

A company providing a colonial grading service is the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS). They will attribute and grade colonial coins.
