Comments:  This is a modern brass copy of the Rhode Island Token made in 1936 by the Robbins Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts for Horace M. Grant. Grant owned a hobby shop at 109 Empire Street in Providence, Rhode Island. His initials (H.M.G.) were added in the ocean area on the obverse so the copy could be easily distinguished from the original.

Provenance:  From the Robert H. Gore, Jr. Numismatic Collection.
