T63 - 50¢ Archer & Daly

A profile head of Jefferson Davis is in the center. This is the same design as used on the 10¢ postage stamp and engraved by Halpin. These bills have printed signatures and are printed on pink paper.

They are printed with a 1st and 2nd Series. 36 plate letter varieties exist (A to I), with and without flourishes above letter. The serial numbers were stamped in both large and small size. 1,831,517 notes were produced.
